Chapter 1 - Four Kingdoms
Hyra is just an ink stain on the big map of our world. On horseback, you only need a few days to travel from one end to the other. Neither Hyra's natural resources nor its influence are particularly noteworthy, and still it is a special place to be. And I'm not just saying that because I was born there. Something extraordinary hangs in the air, some kind of feeling you cannot explain. Something is different there … Maybe it's the people. There are some noble minds living in Hyra that show you how much virtue a human heart can possess. Yes, I think those are the kind of hearts that make Hyra what it is. They seem to be the country's biggest treasure.
Once, while I was passing through, I stumbled upon a precious book by coincidence (if there exists such a thing). The book was very old and the legend it revealed was even older. I am not sure how much truth that story holds – but let me share it with you and you can decide for yourself.
A long time ago, four brothers traveled f

Soulstorm
Last night I was woken by thunder.
I layed in the dark and listened
to the wind that raged through the night.
It seemed to tore the world in two.
It reminds me of the storms that sometimes hit my soul.
Everthing is shattered
and you watch
and wonder
if there will be anything left
to repare.

Change yourself. Change the world.
Wait.
I've got to talk to you.
Stop! Come here, stand by my side for a moment.
And let's pretend we aren't perfect.
Let's pretend we are fragile and weak.
And now look back.
Tell me, what do you see?
Maybe the homeless man with the bottle of beer you passed last week on your way to work.
How low can you get? It would never happen to you.
Maybe the chubby girl with the scars on her arm who sat beside you on the train today.
Why does she let she herself go so much? It would never happen to you.
Maybe your friend who called you yesterday and told you in a tearful voice about her husband's affair. Again.
How can she let herself be humilated that much? It would never happen to you.
Good.
Now turn around and look ahead.
Look carefully. Can you see yourself?
Your boyfriend dumps you. A few weeks ago he found his youth love on facebook and just has to give it another try. You know, fate and stuff.
You stumble.
Your boss asks you into his office. He doesn't look happy. Mone

The Red Coat
It was a beautiful, clear spring morning. The rays of the sun were still weak and hardly touched the earth but in the air was the unmistakable smell of new life.
She stood motionless by the lake and watched thoughtfully over its smooth surface. Her gaze wandered vigilantly through the forest which surrounded the shore and only when she was really sure of being alone she bent her head down to the water and drank. The sun warmed her slender back cozily and let the coat she wore shine in a bright brick-red.
The water tasted sweet and for a moment she closed her eyes contently when a shot echoed through the forest. The bullet broke the silence and scared a swarm of black birds that shot in panic from a tree into the sky. Her head spun around and her hazel eyes looked in alarm from tree to tree.
Then she heard it. The peaceful silence gave way to a dangerous thunder which rolled through the undergrowth. Deafening dog barks rose and came directly towards her.
She ran as fast as she could and

6 Tips for Writing Your Story's Disaster
6 Tips for Writing Your Story's Disaster
Anybody Can Write a Novel 2.0
Chapter 6 “Plot Points” – Section 7 “Disaster”
“There's a victory, and defeat; the first and best of victories, the lowest and worst of defeats which each man gains or sustains at the hands not of another, but of himself.”
-Plato
After your protagonist is defeated in the Midpoint, comes the point at which they will have an emotional spiral into turmoil and dire consequences for everyone who had stakes in your protagonist's victory. Your protagonist will be impacted by this failure more here than anywhere else in the story—feeling like they have just been thrown to the bottom of a pit from which there is no escape or hope of reaching their goals. How to Write a First Draft Without Perfectionism
Maybe you’ve heard that first drafts are supposed to suck, but what does that really mean? What does a sucky first draft look like? How do you allow yourself to suck? Why would you even want to allow yourself to write something that sucks in the first place?
Because otherwise, you’ll most likely be crippled by the writer’s arch nemesis: perfectionism.
Did you just cringe? We all experience it when we sit down to write, arrange everything just so, type a sentence or two (or a bit more if you’re lucky), and then it strikes—your inner editor. It smacks you across the face and demands that you fix that grammar mistake right now.
Or worse, you’ve written multiple chapters of your epic novel when you suddenly get a great idea for a new direction to take the story that will make it so much better! But you can’t just keep writing as if you’d written in that awesome new idea from the beginning. No, your inner editor screams at

It's FINALLY done, I've finished my first book. The word happiness can't describe how I feel :)

If you are interested in reading it, you can buy it as printed book or ebook on Amazon. Here's the link: Das Mädchen mit den Augen aus Gold (in English: The Girl with the Golden Eyes).

Here you can read the first chapter in English (more translated chapters will follow soon).

And to make everthing's perfect, my page is online, too. Check it out and give me some feedback what you are thinking about it: www.tina-videkiss.de.

Creative day to all of you

Tina

(please notice that my novel on Amazon and homepage are in German)

When I was in school a classmate of mine said, "someday I'll read a book with your name on it". I laughed. I think he had said that because we were in the same literature classes and he probably wanted to point out what a smartass I used to be in that subject.

But I never forgot his words.

A couple of years ago I gave it a try and started to write a story that had been on my mind for a long time.

I wrote.

And wrote.

And wrote.

And as time went by I forgot how to live without writing. It became a necessity like breathing and today I cannot believe that it is possible to survive without it.

This month I finally finished my story and I can't explain how wonderful it felt to know that every single page is written with all my heart and all my soul. There's so much me between these lines.

As a little girl I hunt mermaids in the bathtub, searched for monsters under my bed and built castles in the sky. And now I found a way to use my vivid fantasy and do something useful with it.

I tried short stories but I'm more the novel writing kind of person. So, long story short. I will probably not update much.

But I love the art I see and read here. It's breathtaking and inspiring. Don't let anybody stop you. Ever. Don't listen, they don't understand. Your creativity makes the world a better place.

You are beautiful – and so is your art.

Your book looks so interesting, i want to learn to read in German so i can read it! Even the little bio you put together of yourself here, the  words flow so nicely. i can't explain it well, but in very few words, you manage to convey the kind of person you are, at the same time, also inspiring people to go on to follow dreams. NOT to stop. Because seeing your dreams turn to reality is the only real, true joy. The other is having a best friend who loves you unconditionally, of course! lol!

Your talent is quite evident and i hope you do write lots of stories --- then get them translated in English too, haha!

Oh, thank you so much for your kind words - I think I actually blushed when I read your lines Blush  Too sad that you can't read my story and give me some good advice. You are a writer, too, aren't you? I saw Keja's cover in your gallery and remember them. She recommended your books when she worked on your pictures (we are close friends and I often visit her to admire her artworks) :)

Hey, you're very welcome. And i came to your page from Keja's (I follow her page. She is just sooo good!). After i saw the cover she made for you. IT got me so interested, i was putting everything on google translate just so i could understand, lol! i visited the amazon page too, read the synopsis you wrote at the back of your book, but google didn't do a very good job of translating, so i could not understand the plotline of the story so well.
But i understood that you must be very talented to get a person like me, who does not read german, to go through all that trouble to find out more about your book :)
I hope your book does really, really well.

Wish you all the best!

Oh, that's so sweet that you tried to translate it Hug  You know what? I'll translate the first chapter for you. It will be fun and a good practice for me. What do you think?

Yesterday I bought the ebook of your first story "Secret Of the Sighing Mountains" on Amazon. As soon as I have a little free time I'll read it - I'm so looking forward to that moment :)
